Bobcats claw back for an OT victory over UMaine

Bates opened their season in fine fashion on Sunday, November 8 in Orono, ME. The Bobcats faced off against the University of Maine in Alfond Arena to open the 2009-2010 hockey season. The Bobcats and Black Bears took a scoreless game into the second period before UMaine was able to break the game open. The Black Bears struck three times in the second period and took a 3-0 lead into the final period of regulation.

Bates opens season at UMaine

The Bates College Men's Hockey Team will break the ice to their upcoming season on Sunday, November 8 at the University of Maine Orono. The Bobcats return many key players to the fold this year, including reigning NECHA MVP Wes Chaput '10. Last year the Bobcats fell to the Black Bears in overtime by a score of 4-3.

Bates Hockey to Run Youth Hockey Clinic

The Bates Men's and Women's Ice Hockey teams are hosting a youth hockey clinic from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30 at Underhill Arena on the Bates College campus. There will be a 6:00-7:00 pm session for players aged 5-9, and a 7:15-8:15 pm session for 10-14 year olds. Both sessions are open to boys and girls, and the cost is $75 for the week.
